This year, the Irish Second-level Students’ Union is proud to announce the launch of our SECOND wORKING gROUP, THE EQUALITY working group led by our EQUALITY Officer.

The eQUALITY Working Group will focus on assisting the Equality officer in planning, creating and implementing projects and campaigns during the EQUALITY officer’s Term. The members of the working group will consult the equality officer on matters of inequality that need urgent consultation.

This working group is open to all second-level students across the country and we would love to have you join our eQUALITY officer.

Role of members

To provide the Equality officer with a unique perspective on the different equality remits

Take part in equality led campaigns e.g #weareone campaign, BHM, Trans Day of Visibility, Traveller Pride

You will also act as a representative for students on issues that need urgent consultation so we are further connecting with our grassroots. You will aLSO HELP MAKE SURVEYS AND WRITE REPORTS

There is no experience required! wE WANT MOTIVATED STUDENTS WHO WANT TO GET INVOLVED IN eQUALITY PROJECTS AND GET INVOLVED IN THIS UNION.

Time commitment

The time commitment for this working group will be 1 hours per week depending on the basis of demand and deadlines. This will be a combination of tasked work and meetings to allow members to experience a wide range of work. 

The ISSU will provide you with the google G-suite, free of charge, however you should be easily accessible and must communicate through this platform.
