the Irish Second-level Students’ Union is proud to announce the launch of our Fifth wORKING gROUP, THE Vote at 16 and Civic Education working group led by our Education Officer and Communications Officer.

The Working Group will focus on assisting the Education and communications officers in planning, creating and implementing a Vote at 16 campaign and a Civic education survey. The members of the working group will consult the Communications and education officers on matters that need urgent consultation.

This working group is open to all second-level students across the country and we would love to have you join this group.

 

Role of members

To provide an insight into how a Vote at 16 campaign would best reach students

To help form questions for the civic education survey

You will also act as a representative for students on issues that need urgent consultation so we are further connecting with our grassroots. You will aLSO HELP WRITE a REPORT on civic education after the survey is complete

There is no experience required! wE WANT MOTIVATED STUDENTS WHO WANT TO GET INVOLVED IN vote at 16 and civic education PROJECTS AND GET INVOLVED IN THIS UNION.


Time commitment

The time commitment for this working group will be 1 hours per week depending on the basis of demand and deadlines. This will be a combination of tasked work and meetings to allow members to experience a wide range of work, including lobbying, graphic design, data management and more. 

The ISSU will provide you with the google G-suite, free of charge, however you should be easily accessible and must communicate through this platform.
