Hey! Get involved in the Welfare Team today!!! Join me, the Welfare Officer of ISSU in creating projects, resources and campaigns around health, well-being, substance abuse and welfare in schools!

The Welfare Team will focus on assisting the Welfare officer in The tasks above. members of the working group will consult the Welfare officer on matters of Student Welfare that need urgent consultation.

This working group is open to all second-level students across the country, no experience is needed. we would love to have you join our Welfare officer.

 

If you have an interest in mental health reform in Irish secondary schools, making the healthcare system inclusive and accessible for all, promoting wellbeing and physical health amongst young people, and in general just want to help me  with Welfare tasks, apply today! No prior experience is required, just a good teamwork ethic and an enthusiastic mindset! 

This year's Welfare Team will also have an emphasis on working autonomously as a group


Role of members

  • Drafting survey questions

  • Report writing

  • Putting survey responses together

  • Consulting on student welfare policies

  • Reviewing reports and submissions that are welfare related

  • Helping with welfare tasks

  • Team work ethic

  • An interest in welfare, mental health and student advocacy. 

  • A willingness to work on various projects/tasks.


Time commitment

The time commitment for this working group will be 1 to 2 hours per week depending on the basis of demand and deadlines. This will be a combination of tasked work and meetings to allow members to experience a wide range of work. 

The ISSU will provide you with the google G-suite, free of charge, however you should be easily accessible and must communicate through this platform.
